Please sponsor our volunteer Chris Swann in his sponsored cycle ride from Birmingham to Santander in Spain.

Although we don't usually accept donations of furniture we are currently looking for a tall bookcase for our new chill out and Library area which is used by our service users. If you can help please phone Mary Mantom on 0121 666 7023.

Currently we are in particular need of donations of tinned food, Men's socks, Ladies underwear, toothpaste and spray on deodorants. If you can help, please see below for how to donate.

We are always grateful for donations of money or goods.

We can now accept donations online:

Alternatively we are pleased to receive donations by cheque, made payable to 'SIFA Fireside' and sent to:
SIFA Fireside, Ground Floor, 18-28 Lower Essex St, Birmingham B5 6SN.

We are also pleased to receive donations of:

Food;

  • tinned food (undamaged and within date)
  • packets of food (eg. dry rice and pasta)
  • Jars of sauces (eg. Jam, pasta sauce etc)
Clothes;
  • Adult sized clothing in good condition
  • Adult sized shoes and trainers
  • Coats, hats, gloves and scarves
  • Socks and lingerie
  • Sleeping bags and blankets
Toiletries and other items;
  • razors, shampoo, shaving foam, soap, shower gels, deodorants, toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, female sanitary items
  • Pots, pans, cutlery etc.
  • Washing powder
  • Usable plastic shopping bags of A4 size or larger

Items we cannot accept;

  • Any perishable food unless it can be consumed immediately
  • Soiled or unlaundered clothes
  • Duvets (King size)
  • Electrical items
  • Bric a brac
  • Children's clothes or toys
  • Furniture (see below)

Donations of Furniture

Unfortunately we are currently unable to accept donations of furniture. However there are many projects in Birmingham that accept such donations as long as the furniture is of good quality and has appropriate fire labels. These are;

How to Donate

You can drop donations of goods off at our centre at 122 Pershore St (see map) weekdays between the hours of 10am and 1pm. Please call us first on 0121 666 7023 so we can make sure someone is available to receive the goods.
