SIFA Fireside’s Building Employability programme, known as ‘I Pledge’, is specifically designed for Small and Medium-sized enterprises currently operating in and around the West Midlands. Socially invested SMEs can take advantage of this programme to increase employment opportunities for individuals who have experienced homelessness or exploitation.
By signing up and taking the pledge as a SIFA Fireside Building Employability partner, your enterprise will have the opportunity to recruit employees from our community in a socially responsible way. Together, we will ensure that the people you are employing are protected from exploitation and modern slavery. Working closely with SIFA Fireside’s specialist Recovery Team, our Building Employability partners will be able to access our innovative ‘Work It Out’ employment model to offer clients employment opportunities and personal development within their business.
The ‘I Pledge’ partnership grows with your business
Our Building Employability partners will be able to access specialist courses and resources, including our brand-new Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Awareness training. In addition, business that join the ‘I Pledge’ programme will also receive invites to networking events and team building opportunities which are specially designed to build Birmingham’s business community and our communal commitment to improve the lives of some of the most marginalised and vulnerable people in our city.
